About

Ever since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to the magic of small details—colors, textures, and the quiet beauty in everyday things. I remember spending hours with beads, rocks & marbles as a little girl, totally absorbed in the way light bounced off each one. That spark stayed with me, eventually guiding me to the Art Institute of Seattle, where I honed my love of design and craftsmanship.

But it wasn’t until I returned to working with my hands—beads, wire, and thread—that everything truly clicked. Elizabeth Bergesen Handmade was born from that joy.

My designs are guided by a love of texture, color, and pattern—how they interact, contrast, and come together in unexpected ways. I’m especially inspired by the beauty of blending old with new: vintage motifs reimagined with a modern eye, timeless materials brought into contemporary form. Each piece is an exploration in balance—earthy and polished, delicate and bold, nostalgic and current. It’s this mix that makes every design feel both fresh and familiar. I believe that jewelry should be as personal and enduring as the stories we carry.

That’s why I craft each piece by hand in my Nevada studio, using only high-quality materials like Japanese Miyuki beads—chosen for their brilliance, precision, and durability. I source locally whenever possible to stay connected to my community and the makers I believe in.This is slow design—thoughtful, beautiful, and made to last.
